Tall Fescue
– is a perennial cool season bunch type of grass. With its self-repairing rhizome root system, it fills in bare spots in a thinning lawn and minimises overseeding. It is dark green in colour and soft to walk areas, kids to play on, or dogs. Fescue has been developed as a beautiful grass with all the features of the EasiCare with the added advantage of producing rhizomes. These rhizomes send shoots up through the lawn whilst establishing independent root systems for new plants, thus enabling self-repair for dry or hard worn patches.
THE QUICK FACTS:
Root System: Underground stem or runner extends outwards to cover bare spots, many individual plants.
Runners: No above ground runners.
Colour: Deep green
Sun ‘v’ Shade:Does well in both Full sun & shade
Leaf type: Medium and fine blades like to be kept longer than most grasses.
Cool or Warm Season: Better winter growth & colour than other lawn type grasses, needs to be watered in summer and it will stay green all year..
